My 'crime' is to be older than 45 and to have taken two years out of
work to nurse my mother who died of Bowel Cancer. Now I have been looking
for a job, practically any job, for the last year. I cannot get any government
benefits, for a discussion of why not - see the menu at left.
Now this is not a begging letter, though since I have learned to live
on GBP 5 per day you might be generous and sponsor me for a day (see menu at left).
No, I am looking for work. Any work. One offs, permanent and temporary work
anywhere in the UK or world so long as it covers living and travel expenses.
So what can I do for you? Well there is a list of my qualifications and
some examples of previous jobs I have done over the last two years in order to
give you a guide. Alternatively just email me at

once, if I like it maybe twice!.
Of course in the meantime I dont just sit around and do nothing! I am currently writing a
novel, fifty thousand words of my terrorist thriller are completed and I have another
thirty thousand to go. I write occasional articles and submit them on spec, and oh
yes, I apply for around ten jobs a week. I still have not QUITE given up.
